No more Pillar Guards, no more BR Coins, no safes to crack. Even the fish have apparently packed their bags and left. Players can no longer poke the birds or destroy their cages, which has led to a strange peace in Lo Hua Xing. In exchange for the Market chaos, the terrain now feels like it went to a spa. It has been partially redesigned, complete with entry-road tweaks, traffic lights, and floor markings that scream “organized racing.” Thanks to a new lap time measurement feature, drivers can now officially prove they are quicker than their noisy teammate. The system activates when a vehicle pulls into the starting point and stays still for five seconds. A timer appears on the left side of the screen, tracking every drift, swerve, and near miss until the player exits the car, leaves the track, idles too long, or meets a tragic end. Vending Machines, destructible pots, and gas tanks have also arrived, giving creative players new ways to explode their problems. Fixed inflatable boat spawns have been added, and overall fixed vehicle spawns have ticked up slightly, making rotations smoother than a fresh jar of peanut butter.

Console warriors have their own reason to celebrate—or scramble. Starting with Update 38.2, PUBG Console officially runs only on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S.
